Michael L. Myers

Senior Pastor

Pastor Mike grew up in Iowa and believed in the Lord Jesus Christ at the age of 7. In the winter of 2023, God called Mike to Alaska Baptist Church to serve as Senior Pastor. He is passionate about preaching and teaching God’s Word, and helping people grow and change into the image of Christ. Pastor Mike is a graduate of Faith Baptist Bible College in Ankeny, IA and has a M.Min degree from Bible Baptist Seminary in Clarks Summit, PA. He is also a certified Biblical counselor with the Association of Certified Biblical Counselors (ACBC). He enjoys playing golf, cycling, cheering on the St. Louis Cardinals and Michigan Wolverines, and he is a coffee enthusiast. Mike and his wife, Kristen, married in 1999 and they have been blessed with two children.

Mike Beaulieu

Director of Student Ministries

Mike was born and raised in Grand Rapids, MI. After serving in various ministries at different churches, he started to attend Alaska Baptist in 2008. Since that time, he’s served as Children’s Director, teaching the College & Career and various other ministries. Mike has the privilege of serving the Lord as our part-time Director of Student Ministries. He has served as Director of Student Ministries for 8+ years. He sold his business of 17 years in order to pursue his calling in full-time pastoral ministries. He is currently enrolled at Southern Baptist Theological Seminary pursuing a Master’s of Divinity degree. He is married to his wife, Amy, and they have 5 kids.

Jerry Steeby

Director of Music Ministry

Jerry began attending Alaska Baptist Church in 2006 .. and he’s been in the choir and Praise Team since then. He began directing the music for the church in 2020. After graduating from Caledonia High School, Jerry attended Grand Rapids Junior College and Michigan State University. He graduated from Western Michigan University with a Bachelors degree in Music Education. He works at the Autocam Corporation in Shipping and Production Control.

Amy Johnson

Administrative Assistant

Amy joined the church office in August 2025. She grew up in Michigan and she’s also lived in Florida and Tennessee. Amy graduated with both Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from Pensacola Christian College in graphic design and advertising. She and her husband married in 2011 and have two daughters, Lilly and Abby. Amy enjoys spending time with family, being outdoors, and photography.
